Japan Market Gateway grew out of a recurring observation: overseas brands with genuinely good products kept hitting the same walls when they tried to enter Japan. The regulatory process was opaque, logistics partners required a Japanese entity, and most consultants either didn’t know the e-commerce side or didn’t know the compliance side — rarely both.
Our founders built JMG to be the single partner that holds both sides together — the legal and logistical infrastructure of Japan entry, and the market-side knowledge needed to make a brand succeed once it arrives.
We’re based in Suwa, Nagano — away from the noise of Tokyo — which gives us a practical, operational perspective on how Japan actually works for consumer brands trying to build long-term presence.
